What is carry on luggage size?

Although travel rules will now will much more stringent across the globe, carry-on luggage size limits remain a consistent, steadfast size for the majority of airlines. The generally accepted carry-on luggage suitcase size is 22 inches x 14 inches x 9 inches (that’s roughly 55cm x 35.5cm x 23cm). This includes the handle and the wheels. This can slightly vary by airline or air plane type. The weight of the luggage when packed must also adhere to airline requirements. For short trips, carry on suitcases are big enough to easily fit your clothes, electronic devices and packed items.  Choosing between a hard case and soft case is often a personal preference. Each luggage type has its own set of pros and cons. Soft sides carry on suitcases will have a front zippered pocket, allowing you to store items you may need to access during your flight.  Hard cases provide greater protection for your packed goods.
